Peekaboudoir Photography

How should I prepare for my session? - If you booked a session that includes hair and makeup, show up with clean hair and clean face free of makeup. If you booked a session that does not include hair and makeup, show up with all hair and makeup done with exception to brief touch-ups. Don't forget to shave and wear loose clothing and undergarments to avoid elastic marks left on the skin. Tan lines are normal but if you don't want them then make sure you plan accordingly.

What should I bring? - Bring all your favorite outfits, lingerie, shoes, hats, costumes, jewelry, accessories, etc. It is always better to have more and not use it rather than less and want it. Our sessions often change directions fast and it is best to be over prepared for anything.

Should I bring a friend? - If you have a friend that is also doing a session at the same time, before or after you then yes but if not then we highly recommend coming alone. Great images can only be created when you are relaxed and comfortable so we go to great lengths to make sure that happens. You may think having a friend there will make you more comfortable but usually it makes women more self-conscious knowing someone they know is watching. You will be able to let loose, relax and be yourself if no one else is watching.

Will I be nude? - That is entirely up to you!! Your comfort level and goals totally dictate the session. Sessions can range from jeans and dresses to lingerie to implied nude to nude and everything in between. It is our job to make sure you love your images no matter what you decide to wear.

Do you provide lingerie or wardrobe for my session? - We do not provide you with lingerie but will have select accessories and things to use, so please bring your own wardrobe.

Do you retouch the photographs? - Yes, we retouch all skin and temporary imperfections. If you have birthmarks, scars, or permanent features that you would like removed please discuss with us.

I found images I like online; Can I bring them with me? - Yes, please do. This will not only show me the style of photographs you like but we may be able to incorporate some of the poses or settings into your unique session. You can find images online by searching key words like boudoir photography, intimate photography, glamour and artistic nudes. Make sure you get the images to us before your session so we can make the appropriate preparations for your session.

I'm not skinny! Boudoir photography is not for people my size. - BIG MISCONCEPTION!!!! Boudoir is not just for the skinny. Lets face it, just about everyone has extra pounds on them. Boudoir is for any woman and every size! It is our job as photographers to maximize your assets and minimize the things you're self-conscious about.

Do I need to buy all new lingerie for my session? - No, definitely not! While it may be exciting and fun to go out and get all new stuff it is unnecessary. Just about anything can be made to look sexy for a boudoir shoot. Suggestions besides all your things would be your partner's clothing (button up shirt, boxers, uniform, etc.). Other suggestions would be a leather jacket, jersey, bed sheet, cocktail dress, or you can opt for wearing nothing at all. Be Creative!!
